This year the United States Disc Golf Championship will be held during the first full week in October, 7th-10th. One of my favorite things about this site is that I get to reinvent the design and GUI every year. For this site, I really wanted to grab the user’s attention and give them a sense of excitement while surfing our information.
The goal every year is to get as many people to come out and see what this great sport is all about. The galleries following the players have been growing each year and hopefully someday we will reach full sport status in the US.
The top rotating banner area showcases the most important events surrounding this tournament, making sure that the user is aware. I have built a brief blog section that will show the last few posts of the latest news for quick posting from our staff. Using jquery to show the sponsors of our tournament in a sliding function at the top of the page. Also the new addition of Twitter and YouTube for dynamic added content.
